Laser Treatment of Hemangiomas
Hemangiomas are common vascular growths seen in both adults and children. These lesions are composed of a proliferation of blood vessels. Before the advent of lasers, the only solution to remove these lesions was a surgical excision. However, we can now elegantly get rid of these lesions through treatment with a vascular laser. This patient was treated with a pulsed-dye laser (Vbeam Perfecta). You can see the growth is almost gone after just one session of this laser.
