Laser Treatment of Venous Lakes
Venous lakes are common growths on the lips of many patients who have gotten too much sun in their lifetimes. These lesions can easily be treated with vascular lasers, such as the Vbeam laser. In this particular case, however, this patient had failed two treatments with the Vbeam laser, so we chose to employ a deeper-penetrating vascular laser, namely the long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser or GentleYag Pro. We were able to successfully eradicate the lesion with one session of this second laser.
